1. Who we are
Willow Lane is an independent animated content channel publishing short, wordless stories about two neighboring families. You can reach us at hello@willowlanefamily.com.
2. What data we collect
This website collects no personal data. There are no visitor accounts, no sign-up, and no analytics cookies by default. We do not build advertising profiles of visitors, and we do not sell any information.
3. About this app
Besides the public website, Willow Lane runs a private admin tool at willowlanefamily.com/admin. It is used only by the channel owner to plan episodes, review finished videos, upload them to our own YouTube channel and Instagram account, and read and reply to comments left on our own videos. Nobody else can sign in to it, and it does not connect to anyone else's accounts.
4. YouTube API Services
This app uses YouTube API Services. By using it you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
Data accessed. The tool connects only to our own YouTube channel with the scopes https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.upload (upload our videos) and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.force-ssl (read comments on our own videos and post our replies). It reads the channel's name and thumbnail to show which channel is connected, and the text, author name and date of public comments on our own videos. It does not access any other channel, any viewer's private data, or any other Google account data.
Use and sharing. Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. This data is used only to publish our videos and reply to comments. It is never sold, shared with or transferred to third parties, and never used for advertising.
Storage. The OAuth refresh token is stored encrypted at rest in our private backend, readable only by server code, and kept until the owner disconnects the channel in the admin tool or revokes access; short-lived access tokens expire after about one hour. Comment data is kept only as long as needed to manage replies and is deleted on request.
Revoking access. Access can be revoked at any time through Google security settings at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, or with the "Disconnect" button in the admin tool, which revokes and deletes the stored token.
5. Third-party services
We publish our videos on YouTube and on Instagram (Meta). The admin tool uses the Instagram API only for our own Instagram account to publish Reels and read and reply to comments on them. When you follow a link from this site to those platforms, or watch our content there, your activity is governed by those platforms' own privacy policies and terms, not by ours.
6. Children
This website and our channel are intended for adults, primarily parents. Our content is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Data retention and security
The public website collects no personal data. Credentials used by the admin tool are stored securely, limited to the channel owner, kept only as long as needed to publish content, and revocable at any time. We take reasonable technical and organizational steps to protect the limited data we hold.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our channel or tools change. When we do, we will revise the effective date above and publish the updated version on this page.
